Interstate Council Church Ushers of the Eastern Region
"Be it resolved that we, the members of the Interstate Council Church Ushers of the Eastern region, shall observe a period of mourning until November 23, 2025. All council members are asked to wear black memorial pins or ribbons in honor of the lives and devoted service of President Ronald L. Jones and Frieda Y. Alston."

The Interdenominational Church Ushers Association of Washington, DC and Vicinity, Inc. (ICUA) was organized in 1912 for the purpose of fostering a closer fellowship and to promote a unified method of ushering. The Association is completely void of any denominational barriers and is dedicated to promoting service in Christian, social and moral activities as ushers. In essence, the Association is to promote “Church Ushering as a Ministry”.
